Hi guys! Cómo estás? 🙋
I’ve been disappearing (again) for most of October. 🙈 By disappearing I mean not posting anything for quite a while. I wasn’t completely gone because I still visited the site every now and then to read some of your posts. I read many good and inspiring posts during the past few weeks. Maybe I’ll share some of them with you on my next post. Would that be a good idea? 🤔
Anyway, today I’m going to show you all the books that I purchased on October. For me, this is yet quite another big book haul. I really have no restraint when it comes to buying books. Now, I’m officially BROKE. 🤦 It’ll be a while before I can go about and buy every new book that catches my eyes.
All of the books I’m about to show you were purchased in the same bookstore. The public library at my university has a bookstore installed inside. I visit the library like three to four times a week, and every time I go there I always come by the bookstore as well. This is why it’s so hard to have a BOOK BUYING BAN principle!! 😪 So, here are the books. If you’re curious of what the book is about, just click on the title and it’ll direct you to its Goodreads page.
- There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins
- Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
- They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera
- Warcross (Warcross, #1) by Marie Lu
- Tower of Dawn (Throne of Glass, #6) by Sarah J. Maas
- Ringer (Replica, #2) by Lauren Oliver
- Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz
- Turtles All the Way Down by John Green
- The Grisha Trilogy Box Set by Leigh Bardugo
I bought book number one, two, and seven because of a friend, well two friends. I’ve been encouraging my friends to read more fiction books. I asked them what type of books they like, and I purchased those books. Out of the three, I’ve only read There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins. Unfortunately, I didn’t really like it. ☹️ Book number three, four, five, and eight are books of my most anticipated releases for this year. For The Grisha Trilogy Box Set by Leigh Bardugo, I’m in love with Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom. 😍 I cannot help myself but to read her other works. Meanwhile, for book number six I got it for no other reason than that it was surprisingly less expensive than Replica. I don’t even like this series. I read Replica few months back, but I didn’t finish it. I haven’t picked it up again since. I don’t really regret myself when I bought Ringer though. Not when the cover is irresistible. ☺️
Oh and one more, I also got an arc this month. It’s an ebook, not a physical copy. The title is Gold Shadow by L. C. Perry. It’s the first book of the Bronze Rebellion series. I haven’t read it yet, maybe soon. 😬
So those are the books I got on October. The books that I purchased are all paperbacks. Despite what they cost me, I’m so happy I got them. What books did you get on October, if you have any? Do you think I should apply a book buying ban ‘policy’ for the next months? Do you have any tips on how to not frequently buy book(s) every time you visit a bookstore? Let me know!! 😀 That’s all for today. Thank you for stopping by. I’ll see you on the next post. Adios! 😘
